COMFORT + EFFICIENCY = PERFORMANCE

Compatible with Walkable Cleats only

We used to produce these before Speedplay made its own version available to the general public. Now that Speedplay / Wahoo have discontinued production for the time being, Steve has had a limited number machined up again.

When compared to Speedplay’s standard plastic baseplates, the longer slots for fore and aft adjustment and two sets of cleat mounting holes allow these metal baseplates a range of cleat adjustment from 5 mm further forward to 14 mm further back.

Made in Australia

Price: AUD $49.00

Fitting Instructions

  • Supplied with fixing screws only. You will need to use the purple snap in shims from your walkable cleats.
  • Using a thin screwdriver blade, remove the purple curved adaptor shims from your existing plastic Speedplay base plates.
  • Pop them into the four larger, unthreaded holes in our aluminium extender plates. The purple curved adaptor shims will be a snug fit.
  • Use a Philips head screw driver to attached the base plates to your shoe soles using the included screws and torque the screws to 8 newton metres.

With baseplate attached firmly to your shoe, lay the thin edge of a steel rule along the long axis of the baseplate and ensure that the top of the base plate is perfectly flat without gaps or any rocking between the thin edge of the rule and the base plate. This is IMPORTANT as serious injury or death may result if the top of the baseplate is not perfectly flat due to the cleat inadvertently releasing from the pedal.

If you have the slightest doubt as to whether or not you are mounting your base plate correctly, contact us before using them.

With base plates securely mounted, you may now attach your cleats using either the forwardmost or rearmost sets of cleat mounting holes using your existing cleat mounting screws.
