Projects

This page is to preview some things I’m working on.  Some may not come to pass but even that isn’t certain yet. I’ll update the page from time to time as advances (or otherwise) are made on each project.  So, check back often…

PROJECT 1:  ROAD PEDAL
ETA – Open ended

  • Simple design and construction
  • A minimum of 20mm of fore and aft cleat adjustment
  • Easy entry and exit but secure under sprinting type loads
  • Large amount of rotational movement potential
  • Lateral adjustment
  • Rebuildable
  • Walkability

PROJECT 2:  LEG LENGTH COMPENSATOR FOR 3 BOLT PEDALS
ETA – Late 2011 / Early 2012

  • The 3-bolt version of this to suit Look Keo, Shimano Spd SL, Time etc.

PROJECT 3:  ADJUSTABLE FITTING STEM
ETA – Open ended

There are a lot of these around but all are overly complex and fiddly to use, particularly if aero bars are already fitted.

  • One-handed operation to undo the front clamp
  • 50 -150mm length adjustment
  • Plenty of angle adjustment
  • Can be fitted and adjusted without removing or fouling aero bars

A book for use by cyclists and bike fitters with detailed information on:

  • Client assessment
  • Fitting principles and visual cues
  • Problem solving
  • Case studies
